Indy 500 Champions: Full Yearly Record Since 1911

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will host the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday. Defending champion Alex Palou starts from pole position as he seeks consecutive victories.

The race has been held each Memorial Day weekend since 1911, except during the world wars. Winners' names are engraved on the Borg-Warner Trophy, with four drivers holding the record of four victories each.

Ray Harroun won the inaugural event. Subsequent champions competed under the sanctioning of the American Automobile Association, the United States Auto Club, and Championship Auto Racing Teams.

The 2026 Indianapolis 500 is scheduled to air on FOX at 12:30 p.m. ET, with pre-race coverage beginning at 10 a.m. ET.
