Kyle Fletcher attacks Takeshita after title victory at AEW Double or Nothing
Konosuke Takeshita defeated Kazuchika Okada to win the AEW International Championship at Double or Nothing on 24 May 2026 in Queens, New York. Takeshita ended the contest with his Raging Fire finisher after both wrestlers traded high-impact moves throughout the match. Okada had earlier connected with a Tombstone Piledriver and his signature Rainmaker, yet Takeshita recovered to land his own version of the Rainmaker before securing the pin.
The two wrestlers had previously met in the Continental Classic semifinals at Worlds End in December. Both competitors are members of the Don Callis Family and had been in conflict for several months prior to the title match at Louis Armstrong Stadium.
Takeshita claimed the International Championship for the second time in his AEW career. The title remains the only singles championship he has won with the promotion.
Immediately after the match, Kyle Fletcher entered the ring and struck Takeshita with a clothesline followed by a belt shot while members of the Don Callis Family held the new champion. Fletcher had initially appeared to congratulate Takeshita before revealing his alignment with the group.
